Commonwealth Auditors General Conference
Since 1951, the Auditors General of the Commonwealth have met every three years to discuss matters of mutual professional interest and concern and to share and exchange work experiences.
The last Commonwealth Auditors General Conference, which had as its main theme ‘Pioneering Excellence in Public Sector Auditing’, was held in Namibia between the 10th to 13th April 2011. During this Conference, Malta was entrusted with the hosting of the following Commonwealth Auditors General Conference in March 2014. This will coincide with the 200th Anniversary of the setting up of an auditing institution in Malta.
The theme chosen for Malta’s Conference will be ‘Securing Independence of SAIs to Improve the Effectiveness of Reporting and Communication of Audit Findings’.
